On this day six years ago I met Cidney Donahoo. We met the evening prior to POPS ride completing the ride from Vancouver,BC to San Diego. Her husband Pat, and herself joined us in Oceanside and rode tandem the last day with us to finish it off.
Cidney and I share a few things in common. We both love to cycle, we have very supportive spouses and families, we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we volunteer our time as ambassadors for the DPF, and we both are challenged with Parkinson’s disease.
Since meeting Cidney and Pat we have had many opportunities to share time together and create memories. Ride the Rockies, the Copper Triangle, Las Vegas Victory Summit, El Tour de Tucson, just to name a few.
I am very grateful for the friendship that our families have created over the past 6 years. She keeps busy as a support group leader and created a Zoom meeting group that I have been able to participate in. Las Vegas and the whole Parkinson Disease community is greatly blessed to have them. It is great to know you Cidney and Pat!
